Road ecology blog: Wild turkey chicks (Meleagris gallopavo) roadkill, Hwy 49 south of Chinese Camp, California, USA. Over the last few days I showed a wild turkey female killed by a car. There were 5 dead chicks within a few yards from her (see images below). The reason I show images of all the dead chicks is to illustrate that a whole turkey family was wiped out just like that...
