Tayra (Eira barbara), São Paulo, Brazil

Tayra (Eira barbara), São Paulo, Brazil. You don't get to see a tayra every day, this was special. However, this particular animal was looking for food at the bird feeders; it knew where and when to get food. Note that its canines stick out and are not covered by its lips. This gives the animal a bit of a "bad-ass" appearance. It is sometimes referred to as the South American wolverine, but it looks more like a fisher on steroids. The animal has the size of a dog, but with short legs.

Hij was aan het jagen op apen. De gids was volledig excited. Hij had er geen gezien
