I will have a photo show as part of First Friday Art Walk in Missoula on Friday 6 December 2013. The show will feature images of Mongolian landscapes and wildlife in winter, including the world’s only remaining true wild horses; the Przewalski's horse or Takhi. The show will also include other wildlife, landscape and abstract images from Montana and beyond.

The photo show will be hosted by WildEarth Guardians who will have an open house during Art Walk. WildEarth Guardians became part of Montana’s environmental community when it merged with Wildlands CPR in September 2013. Missoula is now home to one of WildEarth Guardians’ five offices working to bridge the Spine of the Continent from the Greater Gila of the Southwest to the Northern Rockies.

Endangered (IUCN, 2013). The Przewalski's horse is the only remaining wild horse. They can hybridize with domestic horses but there are distinct genetic differences with domesticated horses. The Przewalski's horse is not the ancestor of modern domestic horse. After the Przewalski's horse went extinct in the wild in 1960s, it only remained in zoos. It was reintroduced into the wild in 1992. The reintroduction can be considered a success with about 270 individuals in Hustai Nuruu National Park alone in 2013. There are two other wild populations in Mongolia and one in China.
