House sparrows (Passer domesticus) are not native to North America. House sparrows from England were set free in New York City in 1852. Now it is one of the most abundant and widespread species in North America. The species is also abundant in Missoula and last week they discovered our bird feeder. Click here for the other images of house sparrows in our backyard.
