Wildlife overpass Groote Heide, across A2 motorway (about 50 m w

Wildlife overpass Groote Heide, across A2 motorway (about 50 m wide), The Netherlands. This overpass connects forests, heath lands and inland sand dunes. Target species include Eurasian badger (Meles meles), pine marten (Martes martes) viviparous lizard or common lizard (Zootoca vivipara (formerly Lacerta vivipara)), bats, moor frog (Rana arvalis), great crested newt (Triturus cristatus), European nightjar (Caprimulgus europaeus), crickets, butterflies, and other insects. Roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) also use the ecoduct. There is a low fence at the entrance to block wild boar (Sus scrofa) as they are not desired in the areas on the other side.
