Cattle guard and gate at at entrance ecoduct Natuurbrug Zanderij

Cattle guard and gate at at entrance ecoduct Natuurbrug Zanderij Crailoo, The Netherlands. The gate is placed at an angle so that gravity automatically closes the gate. The gate is primarily used by horseback riders to avoid the cattle guard. Wildlife can easily cross the wildlife fence. The fence and wildlife guard keep livestock off the overpass. The livestock is used as a nature management tool for the grasslands and heathlands. This corridor is 50 m wide and has a path for non-motorized recreation as well as wildlife habitat. There is a livestock fence and shrubs and trees between the wildlife habitat and the trail to reduce disturbance to wildlife. The corridor is 800 m long and connects forrests and heathlands on both sides. The corridor consists of embankments and two bridges. One bridge spans a two-lane highway, the other a railroad and railroad yard. The embankment also goes through a golf course.
