Traditional Korean restaurant in a village, north of Hunchun, China. The floor is elevated and a wood stove heats the space under the floor which is very comfortable in winter. The diameter of the round table depends on the size of the party. The round table is simply placed on a central pedestal. The people simply sit cross legged on the heated floor or on small stools. Note that the 2nd person from the left (Mr. Lang) wears bright red socks. Bright red is considered a "lucky color" in China. Given this man's profession, tiger researcher, it is not a bad thing to be lucky with every step you take in the forest.
