Giant river otters (Pteronura brasiliensis), Rio Negro, Pantanal, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Endangered (IUCN, 2017)

This giant river otter family was resting on a beach along the river as we approached. They are really big; they look more like seals than "normal" otters. When they detected us they quickly slid into the water.
